Letter to the Bowling Green Community

An open letter to the community that we serve.

Cone Funeral Home is a full service funeral home that is local and family owned by Kenneth and Jan Cone. They have been residents of Warren County for 40 years, and prior to moving to Kentucky, they were co-owners of a funeral home in Texas. Kenneth is a United States Air Force Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 23 of Bowling Green. Jan is a retired teacher of the Warren County School System, and she earned her Masters Degree and Rank I from WKU. They have a son, Klay, (Shannon), a daughter, Lindsey, (James), and four grandchildren. (And one dog, Einstein!)

Cone Funeral Home and Cone Monuments are conveniently located on the corner of Campbell Lane and West Park Drive at 1510 Campbell Lane. We extend a warm, friendly atmosphere to everyone who walks through our doors, and we strive to make our funeral home comfortable by providing several sitting areas and a large lounge for food and drinks.

Our main mission is to listen to our families and ease the burden of decision making during a stressful time of grief. ("Carry each others burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2) The staff at Cone Funeral Home is dedicated to encouraging families to take their time and not feel rushed to make decisions. We want to know the needs and wishes of our families and to know about the life of the loved one that is being remembered in order to personalize a meaningful service.

Families today want a service that pays tribute to their loved one in a unique way that is faithful to their values and beliefs. Cone Funeral Home offers "Traditional Funeral Services", "Celebrations of Life", "Graveside Services", and "Memorial Services" that are customized to reflect the life of a loved one. Sometimes a direct burial or cremation is requested.

If cremation is chosen, it is performed in a respectful and dignified manner.

Families may want a Memorial Service or a visitation and a full Funeral Service or Celebration of Life with the loved one in state and cremation to follow, or with the cremains in an urn. As well as the above ceremonies, other special services are available to our families.

Veterans deserve respect and honor! Everyone at Cone Funeral Home is deeply patriotic and dedicated to providing families with exceptional veteran services. Our staff can assist families in securing burial benefits for their loved one and are committed to providing the military honors the veteran deserves.

The creative staff at Cone Funeral Home can guide families in selecting and personalizing memorials for a loved one. There are monuments, cremation monuments, mausoleums, urns, markers, keepsake jewelry, art glass, and other items to preserve a memory. There are many garden items for memorials or cremains such as birdbaths, planters, and benches which are a comforting way to reflect on the memories of loved one that has passed. Our beloved pets are like family members, too, and we offer memorials for them as well.

Life is a journey in which we plan for birthdays, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, and many other life events. Why not plan for the end of life? There are many benefits to making your funeral or cremation plans in advance of need:

1.    Your family is spared emotional stress and financial burdens.

2.    Your wishes will be adhered to.

3.    Planning ahead affords peace of mind.

To plan ahead and guarantee the cost of merchandise and funeral home services for a funeral or cremation, contact Cone Funeral Home at 270-904-4201. For a comparison of prices, visit our website at conefuneralhome.com. We will gladly explain or answer any questions you

At Cone Funeral Home, we truly take great pride in serving families. We care and empathize with our families during the loss of a loved one, and we strive to ease the anxiety and emotional stress of such a pivotal life event. We want to support you, get to know you, and build a relationship with you.

Sincerely,

Kenneth and Jan Cone
