Alberta Louise Thrush (Alenduff) was born to Francis and Ruth Alenduff on March 4, 1935. She married Don Waters in 1951 and brought Bonnie Waters and Don Waters Jr. to their lives in 1951 and 1953, respectively. Alberta, otherwise known as Grandma, brought kindness, gentleness, and faith into every life she touched. She was a hard worker, working until she was 81. She helped raise her grandchildren to know acceptance, unconditional love, and the love for and of Jesus our Christ, Lord and Savior. She married John Thrush in 1995 and moved to Bowling Green, KY in 2005. Grandma was undeterred by her past and was determined to get her high school degree, which she did in 2006 at the age of 71. It was a proud moment (pictured). Grandma made a profound difference in many lives. Her acceptance and unconditional love will be felt for generations.
Grandma brought to this world Bonnie Waters (Mullendore), Cynthia Waters, and Donald Waters (Terri), which brought Valerie Holdman, Dawn Collins (Steve), John Waters, Faith Bohannon (Frank), Joy Nix (Matt), Alyssa Allen (Chad), and Aaron Mullendore. She had many great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Joe (Pat) and Jim Alenduff, daughters Bonnie and Cynthia, granddaughter Dawn, and great-grandson Michael. An obituary cannot cover the warmth and feistiness she conveyed in her lifetime. All we can say in this obituary is that we are so unbelievably grateful that she was in our lives and we would not be here without her. We love you, Grandma. Rest in Peace and we know you’ve already put your feistiness to work in heaven.
