Ann Casteel

Mrs. Ann Evelyn Casteel, age 86, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away, Monday, May 9, 2022, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled to be conducted at Cone Funeral Home on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends and visitors on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service. There will NOT be a visitation for Mrs. Casteel on Thursday May 12. Ann was born October 10, 1935, in Bowling Green, KY to the late James Yates and the late Goldie Yates. Besides her parents, Ann is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Casteel, five brothers and sisters and two grandchildren, Johnny Moore and Shawna Casteel. She is survived by her three sons, Billy (Peggy) Casteel, Chuck (Dena) Casteel, and Jeff Casteel; one daughter, Betty (Roger) Pennington; fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Yates, and several nieces and nephews as well as her angel and caregiver Nancy Hall. Ann worked in her church’s bus ministry and served as the first lady of Romans Road Baptist Church. She also taught Sunday School for many years.
