It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Osbert Sharpe, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this world on June 18, 2025. Born on September 29, 1953, in Columbia, South Carolina, Anthony was a product of the vibrant community he cherished throughout his life. As a member of the Class of 1971 at Eau Claire High School, he laid the foundation for a life filled with hard work and dedication.

Anthony's career as a welder with The Stellar Group allowed him to travel and discover new places, a passion that enriched his life and provided opportunities for adventure. His talent in his craft was matched only by the joy he found in his work, often recalling the experiences with laughter and fondness.

At the core of Anthony’s existence was his family, the bedrock of his character and joy. He loved his family fiercely. The warmth of his love extended to his daughter, Taloni Sharpe Kappesser and her husband Dalton, and to his cherished grandchildren, his grandson Landyn Sharpe whom he formed an especially close bond with, along with his granddaughters Layna and Leah Kappesser. Each moment spent with them was a treasure he held dear, building not just memories but a legacy of love and support.

He was also blessed with strong family ties, including his sister, Karen Martin and her husband Todd, along with surviving aunts, cousins, nieces, and a nephew who brought additional joy and connection to his life. Although life led them down different paths, Anthony shared a unique love for Betsy Sharpe and her children, Shanina and Chris Hammers, that remained in his heart.

Outside of his family life, Anthony was an avid supporter of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the South Carolina Gamecocks, finding joy in cheering for his teams and sharing these moments with friends and family.

Anthony Osbert Sharpe will be remembered not just for the roles he played in his professional and personal life but for the love he so freely gave to those lucky enough to be in his orbit. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply cherished.
