Barbara Alene Farmer Glenn, 75, died after a long battle with lung issues on July 11, 2023, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on 3/16/1948 in Fayetteville North Carolina to the late Floyd Fonda Farmer and the late Classie Alene Clines Kirk. Her life was spent mostly as a housewife and mother to 4 children, but she worked as a CNA for a few years, she spent many winters stripping tobacco for Christmas money, her greatest gift besides raising her own children was opening her home for fostering children and providing respite care. Several of them have kept in touch with her over the years. She was married for 49 years to the late Larry K Glenn. She was a member of Iva Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband Larry, loving 1st born son Philip, grandson Edward Gordon Harlow IV, her sister Janie, and her brother Jerry. Survivors include: Children: Timmy Glenn(Jen) Glasgow, Annette Donnelly (David Essenpreis) Bowling Green, Julie Henderson(Martin) Bowling Green. Daughter in law Lydia Glenn Portland TN Brad Matthews whom mom loved as her own son. Grand Children: Ashlie Neal(Matt), Quentin Glenn, Nicole Glenn, Amber Bielinski(James), Tyler Harlow(Kelsey) and Brevin Henderson Great Grand Children: Emmett Bielinski and Adlee Neal and Eleanor Grace Harlow who has not shown her face yet, but mom knew about her, dreamt about her and was so sad when she knew she would never get to hold her. Bonus Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Justin Donnelly, Aubrey, Emma and Jax Donnelly. Brian Donnelly Briley and Claire Donnelly, Justin Gregory(Edith), Brenna Overstreet, Lydia & Finley. Autumn Benjamin, Layla & Aspen, Aleana Benjamin and Ian Benjamin. 1 brother Dr Lenny Farmer(Elaine) 3 sisters in laws Susan Glenn, Linda Rupp and Elaine Farmer 3 Brother in laws Earl Glenn, Darrel Glenn, and Ralph Glenn Several nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. Cremation was chosen with no viewing. We will have a celebration of life at a later date.
