Bill Benson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin passed away peacefully at his home on May 1, 2024. He was born on September 26, 1938, in Kennett Missouri to Ella Elizabeth and Clyde Christopher Benson.

In his early years, Bill dedicated his talents to GM starting in St. Louis working on the truck line. He then relocated to Bowling Green GM Corvette Division UAW 2164 where he worked diligently until his well-deserved retirement in 1991. His commitment and hard work were commendable, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

Described as kind and family-oriented, Bill's proudest accomplishment was his 62-year marriage to his loving wife Deanna (Goodman) Benson. Their enduring love was a testament to their unwavering bond and commitment to each other.

Bill found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was fishing during his younger days or cherishing quality time with his cherished family, Bill's presence brought warmth and happiness to all those around him.

Bill will be deeply missed by his surviving family including his devoted wife Deanna Sue (Goodman) Benson; daughters Elizabeth Russell (Billy Wayne) and Luana Benson; sons Billy C. Benson (Cindy Boards) and Ray Benson (Andi Griffin); Sisters Ruby (Ronald) Syren, Julie May Patton, Barbara Valigura, and Peggy Lebo; grandchildren Garrett Benson, Brandi Miller (Josh), Tara Dollins (David), Christopher Benson (Gabriella), Heather Edwards (Cody), Kayla Sanders (Devin), Kermit Ray Benson Jr., Hope, Lindsey Benson, Kameron, Taylor Benson; great-grandchildren Jaci, Rylan, Kaden, Stryder, Rowan, Karli, Nikko, and Zoey All of whom will continue to honor Bill's memory by embodying the values he held dear.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ella Elizabeth and Clyde Christopher Benson as well as his siblings Curtis Lee Benson, Denver Benson, Larry Benson, and Betty J. Benson (Rudd).

Bill touched the lives of many with his kindness and unwavering dedication to his family. His legacy of love and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May he rest in peace knowing that he leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire generations to come.
