Bobby E Compton

It is with deep respect that we mark the passing of Bobby E Compton, who departed this life on June 30, 2026. Born on July 28, 1950, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Bobby lived a life characterized by his love for family, his enduring work ethic, and his many passions.

Throughout his seventy-five years, Bobby cultivated strong bonds and meaningful relationships that shaped his journey and touched the lives of many. He was the beloved son of Dorothy Watt Compton and William "Bud" Compton, both of whom preceded him in death. He also mourned the loss of his brother, Billy Compton (JoAnne), and his sister, Linda Cohron, whose memories he always held close to his heart.

Bobby’s legacy continues through his surviving family. He is remembered lovingly by his daughters, Sonia Compton Markham and Melissa Compton Morales. He leaves behind two devoted sons-in-law, John Marham and Jose Morales. Bobby also opened his heart to 4 stepchildren and delighted in the company of his 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many more great-step-grandchildren.

A man of many interests, Bobby found joy in pursuits that showcased his curiosity and craftsmanship, particularly in machining. His passion for NASCAR and drag racing reflected his love of speed and the thrill of competition, while his lifelong appreciation for music added a soundtrack to his days. Yet, above all, spending time with family brought him the greatest happiness. Whether swapping stories or simply sitting together in quiet companionship, Bobby treasured every shared moment.

His warmth, dedication, and the gentle strength of his character will be fondly recalled by those who knew him. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in remembering the richness of Bobby’s life and the memories he gave to those he loved. His legacy endures not just through his family, but also through the passions he pursued and the kindness he showed throughout his life.
