With heavy hearts and deep gratitude, we honor the life of Bruce Edward Smith, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Bruce lived a life marked by quiet strength, faithful service, and steadfast love.
Bruce served in the United States Army, proudly defending his country with dignity and courage. He was later employed at DESA, where he dedicated years of hard work until his retirement. Outside of work, Bruce found joy in the simple things - fishing, hunting, and spending time with loved ones. His reverence for the outdoors mirrored his deep reverence for God.
He was a devoted member of Destiny Church, where his faith was not only spoken but lived. Bruce loved his church family dearly and was a man of unwavering belief, gentle spirit, and fierce loyalty.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Smith, and his children: Tracy Browning, Shanna Smith, Shylar Bruce Smith, and Senaca Wilcox. He also leaves behind his siblings: Carolyn and Johnnie Vincent, Sara and Charlie Flaugher, Cheryl and Steve Beck, and Patty Gammon - as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he treasured deeply.
Bruce's legacy is etched in the lives he touched - with kindness, humility, and a quiet heroism that never sought applause.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
