Bryan Stanley Thorn, 44, of Bowling Green KY, was born on September 6, 1977, in Paducah, KY, to the late Willie and Joyce Thorn. He died on Monday, March 21, 2022, in the Medical Center at Bowling Green. Besides his parents, Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billie and Imogene Thorn; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Thorn; and his mother-in-law, Sheryl Cross. Bryan is survived by his wife, Rene Knighten; three brothers, Willie Thorn, Huel Thorn, and Eric Bivens; one sister, Liz Willams; along with three sons and two daughters. In addition to Rene, his beloved wife, and their extended family, Bryan loved his dog Pumpkin and his cat, Lucifur. Bryan was passionate about being on the water and worked as a Tugboat Captain on the Ohio River until he was no longer able due to health issues. However, he was able to continue fishing until recently. He not only enjoyed playing poker but was in fact a good player. He also enjoyed planning trips and traveling to new places. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements and chose cremation. There are no scheduled services at this time.
