Carolyn (Carol) Marie Brown (Lindsey), 86, born September 29, 1939, went to her eternal home Easter morning, April 5, 2026, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. She was the daughter of Johnnie Marshall and Chloie Webb Lindsey, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Noel Vernon Brown, her son, Vance Cummings, her brothers, Clayton Lindsey (Dorothy, who survives) and Mike Lindsey (Eleanor, who survives). Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Marilyn Brown Wilson and Joy Brown Foley (Mike), her grandchildren, Philip Cummings (Josh), Alison Miller (Matt), Melanie Cummings (John), Julie Smith (Steven), Jenny Wilson, and Oliver Brown (Rebecca), and her great-grandchildren, Jacob Cummings (Keaton), William Miller, and Cooper Renick, and last but certainly not least, Bingo Brown, her furry companion, whom she loved dearly.

Carol retired from Bowling Green Bank and Trust in 1994, when she and Noel began traveling, fulfilling their dreams of spending time on the road seeing the beauty of this great country. Their camper saw decades of adventure, whether soaking up the sun during endless summers in Myrtle Beach or nesting as "snowbirds" in Kissimmee. They built many life-long friendships with other travelers, eventually forging new memories with them during treks out west and even a caravan to Alaska - always with their camper in tow and shared dreams ahead.

Carol came from a musical family. Her dad and later her brothers all sang in gospel quartets throughout her life. In her early days she too sang with a gospel trio which sparked a love of music that she enjoyed all her life. She married the love of her life, Noel, in 1961, creating a blended family with wide open doors and love for all. She loved her family and enjoyed rolling out her very best from the kitchen, being family-famous for many of her recipes for holidays and birthdays. She loved being a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She was an active member of Hillvue Heights Church and enjoyed her beloved Class of Esther, of which she attended for many years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am, May 9, 2026, in the chapel of Hillvue Heights Church, with visitation from 9:00 am until the Celebration begins at 11:30. The family takes great comfort in knowing she is in heaven.
