Catherine Pauline Barrett, born Catherine Straszheim on June 15, 1939, peacefully passed away on April 8, 2024, at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green, KY. She was a dedicated employee at Mitchell Corporation for an impressive 31 years.

In her free time, Catherine enjoyed tending to her flower beds and embarking on adventures through her travels. She had a deep admiration for icons such as Elvis Presley, Alan Jackson, Loretta Lynn, and Marilyn Monroe.

Catherine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, Mike Barrett, her parents John William Straszheim, and Marth Koppe Straszheim, her brother Edward Straszheim, and her sister Pat Sizemore.  Catherine will be fondly remembered by her children Ralph Haynes (spouse Farrah Haynes), Elizabeth Hollon, and Duane Hollon. Additionally, she leaves behind siblings Dorothy Swope and, Rodger Straszheim. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation service to honor Catherine's life will be held on April 13, 2024, at Cone Funeral Home in Bowling Green, KY. The visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM to allow family and friends to pay their respects.

Catherine Barrett will forever be cherished for the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her and the lasting memories she created with her loved ones. May she rest in peace.
