Christopher Dean Owens, age 56, passed away on July 11, 2026. He was born on November 17, 1969, and lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and the things he loved most.
Christopher was the beloved son of Betty Jo Burch and the late Larry Owens. He is survived by his siblings, Deanna Ruth Cook, Sandra Kay Blankenship, Kathrine Michelle Dyer, Marena BethAnne Ryboldt, Johnathan Neal Owens, Joseph Damon Hoffman, and Pharon Jane. He was a father to Francis Taylor Camper and Faith Adair, and a grandfather to Lukas Douglas Harold Brashear and Baldur Orion Harold Brashear.
He attended Owen Valley High School and furthered his education through vocational training in diesel mechanics and as a Tool and Die Machinist. Christopher honorably served his country in the Army National Guard, from which he later retired. His strong work ethic and mechanical skill were evident in everything he did, and he took great pride in understanding how things worked and bringing them back to life.
In his free time, Christopher found joy in Civil War reenactments, immersing himself in history with passion and authenticity. He also had a deep love for mechanics and spent countless hours working on engines, as well as building and tinkering with computers. These hobbies reflected both his curiosity and his hands-on nature.
Christopher will be remembered for his dedication, his knowledge, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of service, craftsmanship, and love..
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cone Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
