Cletus Daryl Hedges

Cletus "Daryl" Hedge, age 74 of Bowling Green passed away on December 11, 2025. Daryl was born on October 8th, 1951 to the late Henry L. Hedges Jr. and Mrs. Ethel M. Hedges in Louisville, Kentucky. Later in life, Daryl married Mrs. Nellie S. Hedges. The two shared 47 years of marriage before her passing in December 18, 2017. Daryl was a proud graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he earned a degree in psychology, graduating on the honor roll. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to the hospitality industry, working for many years as a manager and night auditor for Best Western and Baymont Inn. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to serving others. Above all, Daryl had a deep passion for his family, who were the center of his life. In his quieter moments, he found joy in fishing, reading, and spending time reflecting and learning. His thoughtful nature and steady presence will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a brother; Hank Hedges. Daryl leaves to cherish his memory a sister; Shelia Massey (Freddy), his two children; Jonathan R. Hedges and Laura L. Hedges, and three grandchildren; Denver C. Hedges, Faith L. Hedges, and William Taylor Jenkins. Services have been entrusted to Cone Funeral Home.
