Cynthia Ann Walenton, known affectionately as Cindy, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, where she dedicated many years of her life as a diligent housekeeper. Born on November 9, 1954, in Winona, Minnesota, Cindy was the eldest of ten children, a fact that shaped her strong and nurturing character throughout her life.

Cindy embraced life with joy and enthusiasm, enjoying a variety of hobbies that brought her happiness. She loved thrifting, swimming, and spending quality time playing cards with her family. Cindy had a special fondness for collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia as well as items featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Her love for adventure was evident in her passion for camping, which she shared with her husband, Donald. With a playful spirit, Cindy had an infectious sense of humor, always ready to share a joke or laugh with those around her.

Her family was her pride and joy, and she loved them immensely. On July 27, 1996, Cindy married her devoted husband, Donald Walenton. Together they built a loving home that was filled with laughter and warmth. She is survived by her daughters, Jodi Harris (Steve), Jozie Reed, and Jamie Blake (Nicholas), as well as her stepdaughter, Jennifer Walenton (Quinn Day). Cindy also cherished her role as a grandmother to her beloved grandbabies, Jay Schwartz, Angelita Walenton, and Kiana Walenton.

Cindy was predeceased by her parents, Delores and Huey Long Sr., and her grandparents Arthur and Lucille Wise, along with Jesse and Isabel Long. Although she has departed from this world, her spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered not only for her hard work and dedication but also for her unwavering love and laughter that brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
