David Lynn Alexander, 75 of Bowling Green, Kentucky, formerly of Marrowbone, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December, 6, 2025 at his residence. David was born on March 18, 1950 to the late James R. (Jim) and Grace Riddle Alexander. He was a graduate of Cumberland County High School, Western Kentucky University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. David was a retired United Methodist minister and pastored congregations in Cumberland, Green, Adair, Webster and Caldwell counties. Additionally, he was a hard working, service oriented retail employee for many years. He will be remembered for his gifted piano playing, singing and his laughter. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard Alexander of Burkesville, KY.

Survivors include:

His wife of 53 years, Kathy Clifton Alexander

His daughter, Victoria Alexander Smith and her husband Paul Smith of Bowling Green, KY

His granddaughters, Catherine Smith and Ellen Smith of Bowling Green, KY

His twin sister, Rebecca Alexander (Carol Creech) of Travelers Rest, SC

His brothers, Albert Gilliam (Frances) of Louisville, KY and Greg (Betty) Alexander of White House, TN

His sister in law Patricia (Brent) Smith of Grand Rapids, MI

1 niece and 8 nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been chosen and interment will be held at Marrowbone Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Marrowbone Cemetery fund or Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
