Donald Eugene “Donnie” Gipe Jr., 64, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on August 7, 2026, in Tennessee. He was born on October 17, 1961, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Donald Eugene Gipe Sr. and Beverly Jean Gipe.

Donnie was a hardworking man who in spent most of his life working in construction and concrete. He took pride in working with his hands and attempting to help provide for the people he loved. But those who knew Donnie will remember him for much more than his work.

Donnie had a gentle, giving, and kind soul. He had a heart for people who were struggling and was always willing to help, especially those experiencing homelessness. He gave freely of what he had and never needed recognition for his kindness. Attempting to help others was simply part of who he was.

Donnie is survived by his loving mother, Beverly Jean Gipe of Pinehurst, Texas; his brother, Anthony Wayne Gipe of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and his sisters, Laura Lynn Gipe and her husband, James G. Ford, of Pinehurst, Texas, and Christina Marie Rilveria and her husband, Rey Rilveria, of Pearl City, Hawaii.

He is also survived by his children, Trinity Gipe , his partner Kimberly Embry and James Gipe and partner, Nichole Brannon all of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and his grandchildren, including Malakai Gipe, age 5, and Aubri Woosley, age 15, along with his many beloved nieces and nephews.

His nieces and nephews include Stormie Lynn Gipe, Anthony Shane Gipe, Ashley L. Greer, Amanda J. Fox, Danielle N. Ford, Brandon J. Ford, and Jessica Klein, who is married to Mark Klein of LA California.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gipe Sr. of Owensboro, Kentucky, and his sister, Donna Jean Gipe of Houston, Texas.

Donnie will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his generous heart, his willingness to help someone in need, and the kindness he showed to people who often had no one else to turn to. He leaves behind a family who loved him and countless people whose lives were touched by his compassion.

He may be gone from our sight, but the kindness he gave so freely will live on in everyone who knew and loved him.
