Edna Potter

Edna Lousie Potter (Wyatt), loving wife, caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother returned to her heavenly home on October 6, 2021 at the age of 82 after a lengthy illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in this struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Edna was born to the late Thomas Edward and Louise Byrd Nealy of Warren County, KY, September 13, 1939. Being raised on a farm, she appreciated the simple things in life especially roses, quilting, growing tomatoes and cucumbers, collecting dolls, working puzzles, and was always up for a game of cards or checkers. She also loved sitting outdoors watching the birds, squirrels or the kids playing. During holidays she always prepared her world class green beans and banana pudding and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was always there when you needed a hug and a smile. She and John were members of the Christ United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. Edna is survived by her husband John Potter; children Rick Wyatt (Vicki), Jenny Mitchell (Mike), Beatrice Torrence (Steve), Beth Abbott (Matt), John Potter Jr. (Vicky) and grandchildren: Brandi Hughes, Dustin Wyatt, Robert Sanchez, Alexandria (Lexi) Sanchez, Landon Wyatt, Isaac Wyatt, Brad Resch, Mark Phelps, Mandi Phelps, Anna Mitchell, Cody Potter, Megan Potter, Jonathan Potter, Lindsay Werling, Adrian Gibson, Tyler Potter, Madison Abbott, Hadley Abbott; siblings: Jeanette Howell, Dottie Jenkins, Gary Nealy, Bonnie Woosley, Sheila Walker and 11 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday October 9, 2021 at the Christ United Methodist Church in Bowling Green located at 716 Cave Mill Road. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements.
