Emma Jean Finch

Mrs. Emma Jean Finch, age 90, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.

The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements.

Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 1:30pm at Cone Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation with the family will begin on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 3:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of service at 1:30pm.

Emma Jean was born September 5, 1933, in Logan County, KY to the late Wade Johnson and the late Ofa Childress Johnson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James “JM” Finch, and four siblings, Billy D. Johnson, Eva Lena Hendrick, Melvin A. “Joe” Johnson, and Willard Johnson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Johnson and Vickie Simpson both of Bowling Green, KY; one grandson, Jim Forrester (Emily) of Glasgow, KY; two great-grandchildren, Caroline Forrester and Maude Forrester both of Glasgow, KY; one brother, Fred C. Johnson of Herne Bay, England.

Emma Jean was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Bowling Green, KY. Emma loved to read and cook for others. She enjoyed rocking in her chair reading a book with her beloved dog Cocoa in her lap. Emma Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
