Forest Kirk Patton, 72, of Bowling Green, passed away on August 1, 2025.

Born on May 17, 1953, in Kokomo, IN, Kirk was the beloved son of Ethel Ann and the late Earl Dee Patton. He was a caring brother to Sheila and Kendrick Patton.

Kirk was a long time member of Christ Episcopal Church, a place he held close to his heart. An employee of Lee Building Products for over 25 years, Kirk took pride in his work and deeply cared for all his fellow employees. He was also a dedicated alumnus of Western Kentucky University, carrying his Hilltopper pride throughout his life. Kirk was an avid golfer who enjoyed time on the greens and the camaraderie it brought. You could often find him lending his unwavering support to his grandchildren, proudly cheering as their #1 fan.

Known for his generous heart, Kirk deeply loved and cared for everyone around him. His kindness and commitment to others left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Ethel Ann Patton; brother Kendrick (Georgia) Patton; sister Sheila (Lyle) Patton; daughter Taylor (Dustin) Summers and their children, Emery and Grant; longtime girlfriend, Carol McClure along with her daughter Kelly (Daniel) Kirby and their children, Thomas, Lorelei, Silas, and McClure. Kirk is also remembered fondly by many dear friends.

Services for Mr. Patton will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Bowling Green. The family will receive visitors at noon with a graveside service beginning at 1:00.
