Glen McArthur Jones

Glen McArthur Jones passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. He was a hardworking man whose life was marked by dedication, a strong work ethic, and an appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Born to the late Granville Beatty Jones and Atha Mae Jones, Glen spent much of his life working as a farm worker, a profession he took great pride in. He was known for his willingness to work hard and his dependable nature. Outside of work, Glen enjoyed spending time fishing, sitting on the porch visiting with family and friends, and keeping his yard neat and well cared for. He especially loved mowing and took pride in maintaining his surroundings.

In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his siblings: Chester Jones (Blanche), Thurman Jones (Pearl), Gladys Nicholas (Prentice), Christine Dumas (Ellis), Robert Jones (Clodean), Elaine Jones, Anna Lee Fields (Carroll), Joe Jones (Marlene), Donald Jones (Virginia), Kirby Jones (Christine), and Cleta Jones (Tom).

He is survived by his sisters, Lorene Cope (Billy) and Frances Cope (Kenneth), along with nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory and miss him dearly.

Glen will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of the outdoors, his devotion to hard work, and the comfort of his presence on the porch sharing stories and conversation. His legacy lives on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
