Harry Gilbert Ross Jr., lovingly known as “Jr.,” passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 56. He was born on February 11, 1970, in Warren County, a place that remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Harry was the beloved son of Donna Ann Ross and the late Harry Gilbert Ross Sr. He shared strong bonds with his family, growing up alongside siblings Belinda Greene (Shelby Greene), James “Butch” Lightfoot (Cindy Lightfoot), Donald Lightfoot (Chiquita Lightfoot) Pam Ross, and Sarah Wells. Many nieces, nephews, and extended family members will deeply miss him.

He was a proud father to Miesha Owens and Andaysha Alexander, who carry forward his spirit and memory.

Harry was preceded in death by his grandparents Dorothy Ross, Esther Lightfoot, and Virgil Lightfoot, along with nephews Byron Fugate and Bryant “Jabber” Fugate.

He graduated from Warren Central High School and went on to attend nursing school at Eastern Kentucky University. Over the years, Harry worked as a horse trainer, diesel mechanic, and in culinary arts; trades that reflected both his skillful hands and his hardworking nature.

Outside of work, Harry found joy in the simple, meaningful things. He loved riding horses, cooking meals that brought people together, playing cards, and most of all, spending time with his family. His laughter, stories, and presence filled rooms in a way that will not be forgotten.

Harry leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and connection; a man who lived with grit, warmth, and a deep appreciation for those around him.

He will be dearly missed and forever remembered
