Hershel Joyner

Mr. Hershel Lee Joyner, age 87, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Greenwood Nursing & Rehab in Bowling Green, KY.

The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements.

A memorial service will be held in his memory on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 12:00pm until 3:00pm at Mt. Zion Church of Christ located at 385 Mt. Zion Church Road Bowling Green, KY, 42101.

Hershel was born September 3, 1936, in Butler County, KY, to the late Hubert Joyner, Sr. and the late Hazel Phelps Joyner. He is, also, preceded in death by two brothers; Hayward Joyner and Hubert “Tommy” Joyner, Jr.

He is survived by two sons, Brad Joyner (Beverly) of Bowling Green, KY and Chris Joyner (Amanda) of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Joyner of Atlanta, GA; sister, Sue Plymale of Louisville, KY.

Hershel was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a Mason.
