Hubert E. Pendleton, 84 of Bowling Green died Nov. 1, 2018 at Commonwealth Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. The Logan Co. native was the son of the late James Pendleton & Nellie Mae Smith Pendleton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Bradley, his brothers, Paul Pendleton and John Pendleton and two grandsons, Douglas Helson and Jason Helson. He was a long time employee of Steen's Concrete Products and was a truck driver. In his younger days, he was a member of the Bowling Green Rescue Squad. Hubert was saved and was of the Pentecostal faith. He loved going to church, playing music at church and had his own band. He enjoyed camping, fishing and being with his family. He loved to sit and listen to his Hank Williams, Sr music. He was a very good husband and great dad who provided for his family and his family never wanted for anything. Mr. Pendleton is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ivey Pendleton; his daughter, Towanna Helson (William) and son, Anthony Pendleton both of Bowling Green. Other survivors include his brothers and sister: Robert Pendleton (Carolyn), Benny Pendleton (Wanda), and Mary Lou Smith; a sister in law, Karen Pendleton; grandchildren: Stephen Helson, William Helson and Joshua Helson. Great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to thank Hubert's childhood friend, Ed Raymer for being such a good family friend and for all that he has done for them. A memorial service for Hubert E. Pendleton will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 at 1 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11 am Friday until time of service with interment at Fairview Cemetery. Cone Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
