Jacqueline Elaine Brooks, affectionately known as Jackie, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at The Medical Center. Born on August 7, 1953, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Jackie was a beloved member of her community and a cherished figure within her family.

As a devoted Christian, she found great solace and strength in her faith, regularly attending Living Hope Baptist Church. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, inspiring those around her with her unwavering spirit and compassion.

Jackie's warm heart and joyous spirit were most evident during family vacations at the beach, which were among her favorite memories. These moments were filled with laughter, love, and bonding, characterized by her infectious enthusiasm and the joy she brought to her family.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Otis Brooks Jr., who stood by her side through life's joys and challenges for 40 years. Jackie is also survived by her loving children, Nikki Hagan and Michael Smith, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and love. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Shelia Myers, who shared a special bond and many cherished memories with her.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Edna Howell, who provided her with a strong foundation of love and support. Their influence remained with her throughout her life, shaping her values and nurturing her caring nature.

As we remember Jackie, we celebrate a life filled with faith, family, and cherished memories. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. There will be a private memorial held at a later date.
