Jannetta Faye Lindsey, lovingly known as “Faye” to most, passed away on July 2, 2026, leaving behind a life woven with faith, family, and simple joys.
Faye was born on March 25 in 1948 to Herman Richmond and Juanitta Richmond. She spent her life devoted to caring for others, both as a dedicated housekeeper and as a homemaker who made every space she touched feel warm and welcoming. Her home was not just a place, but a feeling; one of comfort, laughter, and love.
A faithful member of Landmark Baptist Church, Faye was a devoted follower of Christ. Her faith guided her life and shined through in her kindness, her strength, and the quiet grace with which she carried herself each day.
Faye found happiness in life’s simplest pleasures. She loved camping beneath open skies, casting a fishing line into peaceful waters, and filling her days with the sounds of gospel music. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family—those moments were her greatest treasure.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Ronnie Lindsey, a sister, Charlotte Gregory and a brother, Julian Richmond.
Faye is survived by her sisters, Anna, Judy, and Diane, her brothers, Frank, Jimmy, and Joseph, her sons, Garland Cherry (Bobbie), Timothy Cherry, and Patrick Cherry (Sarah), her daughters, Evon Cherry (Adrian) and Connie Freeman (Teddy), stepsons Charles and Jason Lindsey, her grandchildren, Ashley, David, Kimberly, Tammy Jo, Tiffany, Keaton, Crystal, Ronnie, Brandon, Austin, Noah, Heather, Lucy, Chase, Mika, Sam, and Nick. 10 great-grandchildren also survive.
Those who knew Faye will remember her for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Faye’s journey here on Earth may have ended, but her light continues to shine in the lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
