Jerry Jones

Mr. Jerry Wayne Jones, age 75, of Smiths Grove, KY, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Jones are scheduled to be conducted Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 1:30 PM at Cone Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until time of service at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Jerry was born November 29, 1947, in Warren County, KY to the late Lewis Jones and the late Lucy Norris Jones. He was also preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Jones, seventeen siblings and five grandchildren. He is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Wolfe of Bowling Green, KY and Kathy Blair (Hank) of Woodburn, KY; one son, Chad Jones (Christina) of Smiths Grove, KY; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jerry was of Baptist faith. He retired from Greg & Gary Trucking after thirty years. Jerry loved to have breakfast with his friends at 5th Street Diner daily and tinker with old cars. He was a cut-up and loved a good laugh. He enjoyed watching a good western and listening to music, especially country and folk music.
