JoAnne Hawks, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on October 30, 1941, in Accoa, Tennessee, and lived a life filled with love, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the world around her.

JoAnne was known for her warm heart and genuine affection for all who crossed her path. Her personality reflected the essence of a mother’s true love, which she extended to her family, friends, and even to strangers. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending her time nurturing her cherished hobbies, which included caring for flowers, observing birds, and feeding squirrels.

She is survived by her children, Dale R. Hawks and Anita Loudin, alongside her brother, Larry Reagon (Linda) from Sunnyland Illinois. JoAnne was also a proud grandmother to Jonathan Hawks (Michelle), Josh Hawks, Miranda Hawks, and Colten Loudin. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, including Cory Rabotinski, Kaylee Hawks, Aiden Hawks, Calie Hawks, Rayden Hawks, Triton Hawks, Willow Hawks, and Kelbey Kinkade. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by a multitude of nieces and nephews, each carrying their own cherished memories of her.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Reagon and Margaret McCammon Reagon, as well as her siblings: James Reagon, Jerolene Geiger, and Kenneth Reagon.

As we reflect on JoAnne Hawks’ life, we remember her generosity of spirit and the love she shared so readily. She leaves behind a family that will continue to honor her memory and live by the values she imparted. Her presence will be profoundly missed but her spirit will forever remain a part of all who loved her. JoAnne will be remembered as a mother with true love for all she came into contact with.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at Marian Manor Community Room, located at 80 Marian Manor, Smiths Grove, KY 42171 from 12:00pm - 6:00pm.
