John Kirtley Juett, born on December 13, 1952, in Frankfort, Kentucky, left this world on August 15, 2025, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love for music deeply inspired those around him.
John is survived by his beloved spouse, Kay Lyn Juett, who stood by him through the many chapters of their life together. He took great pride in his family, including his daughter, Katie Ann Clark Inoue (Marro) of Lexington, Kentucky, and his stepson, Bryan Comer, along with his daughter-in-law, Danielle. John’s life was enriched by the laughter and joy of his grandchildren, Momoko Inoue, Lily, Laylen, and Lently Comer, who brought him immense happiness and a sense of purpose.
John also shared a special bond with his sister, Nancy MaLoney (Tim), and other loved ones providing the foundation of support and love that characterized his family life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Henderson; his father, William Kirtley Juett; and his stepfather, Jay L. Henderson. John was also preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Henderson.
As a man touched by music, John’s artistic spirit resonated with all who knew him. He inspired others not only through his passions but also through his unwavering kindness and warmth, leaving behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever be cherished. His presence will be missed but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
