It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Jose Isai Castillo-Bautista announces his passing on August 12, 2026, in Barren County. Born on April 16, 2008, in Santa Rita Copan, Honduras, Jose’s life, though brief, was filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Jose was cherished by all who knew him as a devoted and caring son, brother, and grandson. He is survived by his beloved mother, Ana Maria Castillo, his brother, Edras Emmanuel Castillo, and his grandmother, Rosa Bautista. Their love for Jose and the love he returned will forever resonate within the family and all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
From a young age, Jose delighted in life’s simple pleasures. He found immense joy in driving and was an enthusiastic soccer player, always eager to join a game and exhibit his skills with infectious excitement. A true connoisseur of his heritage, Jose relished eating Honduran food, especially “baleadas,” connecting him to his roots and fond family traditions.
Jose’s kind spirit, playful energy, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He navigated life with a gentle strength and an ever-present smile, willing to offer help or a kind word whenever it was needed. His vibrant personality and the good memories he created will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
