Joseph Dane Zillmer, born August 13, 1955 in Bowling Green, KY, passed away February 6, 2026. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Alma May Crabtree and Herbert Lemvel Crabtree, and Mary Zillmer and Ernest Zillmer, and his mother, Dolores Crabtree Zillmer. He is survived by his father, George Francis Zillmer, his sisters Lorelei Crutcher and Heidi McCormack, a daughter, Sarah Golleher (Dennis), a granddaughter, Carolyn Golleher, a niece, Carrie McCormack (Josh), and nephews, Paul Crutcher, Karl Crutcher, Robert McFadden (Melanie), and Michael McFadden.
Joe was, first and foremost, a follower of Jesus. He was a beloved grandson, son, brother, father, papaw, uncle, and friend. Joe pursued a professional goal of being a paramedic for 30+ years, helping others in whatever capacity he could. Joe enjoyed reading and was an avid writer. He was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He had an appreciation for all things beautiful but was especially fond of Texas sunsets, Kentucky country backroads, and anything related to history. We rejoice that he is now a permanent resident in heaven with Jesus, but we will miss him terribly until we are all reunited.
