Joyce Lorraine Davis

With hearts full of gratitude for a life well-lived, we celebrate the remarkable journey of Joyce Lorraine Davis.

Joyce was born to Eugene and Constance Valy on November 6, 1928 in Park Ridge, Illinois. She married her high school sweetheart, Ralph S. Davis Jr., in 1949, where they resided in Illinois until moving to the Reno, Nevada area. After retiring, Joyce devoted more than 30 years, volunteering in the Emergency Room at Northern Nevada Medical Center in Reno. She also helped shape the Rainbow Bend HOA, bringing neighbors together through community activities and connection. Upon moving to Bowling Green, KY in 2024, Joyce quickly became a cherished member of Community Greeters Newcomers Club. She was an avid reader of murder mystery books. She also enjoyed playing Mexican Train dominoes and the card game, Hand and Foot with her new friends. She passed away peacefully at her daughters home. She was preceded in death by her husband (2010) and a son, Kenneth E. Davis (2020). She is survived by a sister, Carol Canady (Dick) of California, and four children, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren: Susan J. Herlugson of Greenville,SC (Stephen & Grace, Isaac & Piper; Beth & Brent), Ralph S. "Skip" Davis III (Suzanne) (Matthew & Olga, Madeline & Olivia), Sandra C. Otto (Gerry) (Katie), and William J. Davis (Tracy and Mike Davis).

Service information: A memorial service will be announced after a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her extraordinary life. Cremation was chosen.
