Judith Ann Newman, affectionately known as Judie, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, in Smiths Grove, Kentucky. Born on January 14, 1940, in Ashtabula, Ohio, Judie’s life was defined by her unwavering dedication to family and a deep commitment to her work and personal passions.

Judie was a proud college graduate, whose pursuit of knowledge and personal growth guided her throughout her life. She built a meaningful career, culminating in her well-deserved retirement from the post office—a testament to her diligence and reliability.

A woman of varied interests, Judie found joy in the simple but enriching pleasures of life. She was an avid reader, spending countless hours immersed in books. Her love for puzzles reflected her curiosity and sharp mind, while her fondness for dogs showcased a compassionate spirit. Creativity and craftsmanship were evident in her talent for sewing, and she cherished moments spent watching television, finding relaxation and entertainment in quiet evenings at home.

Family was always at the heart of Judie’s world. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted sister, Ellen Weyandt, and her beloved children: Kelly Marshall, Dave Newman, and Dannette Newman. Each relationship was marked by warmth and support, creating a legacy of love that endures beyond her passing.

Her life was also touched by profound loss. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Weyandt; her father, Edward Weyandt; her husband, Gilbert Newman; and her brother, Ronald Weyandt. Their memories remained ever-present in her heart.
