Justin Wayne Cook, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 47, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Born on June 2, 1978, in Louisville, Kentucky, Justin brought joy to the lives of many, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support.

From a young age, Justin was known for his vibrant spirit and infectious humor, often showcasing his love for dad jokes, which brought smiles to anyone fortunate enough to hear them. His loyalty to the Louisville Cardinals was unwavering; he was a lifelong fan who found great joy in attending games, particularly with his cherished son, Dylan. Together, they created treasured memories, bonded by their shared enthusiasm for sports that transcended mere fandom.

Justin’s relationship with his family was a cornerstone of his life. He delighted in long conversations with his mother, Georgia "Diane" Cook, who provided him with endless love and support. As a father, he took immense pride in his two children. His daughter, Kennedy, could always count on him for thoughtful advice and loving guidance, while moments spent shopping with his daughter-in-law were filled with laughter and warmth. He adored the time spent with Dylan, whether at a game or enjoying each other's company in the simplest of pleasures.

His brother, Troy Cook, shared a bond with Justin that was built on companionship and brotherly love. Their adventures together were marked by camaraderie, strengthening their connection and creating memories they would cherish forever.

Justin's loving spirit extended beyond family ties; he was a friend to many, always ready to lend a hand or offer a kind word. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back if the need arose, demonstrating a selflessness that endeared him to those around him. His friends will fondly remember the warmth he brought into their lives and the genuine connections he nurtured over the years.

One of Justin’s proudest accomplishments was reaching four years of sobriety, a milestone he celebrated with open arms and immense pride. He was candid about his struggles and recovery, using his journey to inspire others and remind them that change is possible. His resilience and determination led him to become a beacon of hope for those in similar situations.

Most importantly, Justin cherished the time spent during holidays and family gatherings, where laughter and love filled the air. He was at his happiest when surrounded by his parents, children, brother, nieces, and the extended family that he adored so deeply.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Georgia "Diane" and William Cook; his beloved children, Dylan (Hailey) Cook and Kennedy Cook; and his dear brother, Troy Cook.
