Kathy Jo Basham, age 69, passed away on May 17, 2026, in Bowling Green, KY.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Earl Basham, her parents, Virginia Nell Gilliam (Poteet) and Bobby Lawrence Bratcher, and her grandparents, Herman and Halie Bratcher, and John and Mary Gilliam.

She is survived by her sisters, Teresa Bishop (Bratcher), Sandra Sandidge, and Pam Howard (Sandidge), her son, Jerry Dustin Basham, 8 grandchildren, Alexis Collier (Chaffin), Makayla Basham, Kaitlyn Basham, McKenzie Gantz, Dustin Basham, Shawnalee Basham, and Paisley Basham. 1 great-grandchild also survives.

Kathy Jo loved playing ISpy, cross stitching, shopping, reading books, worshipping the Lord, and taking care of others. She is forever remembered as being the best grandma anyone could have. She will be deeply missed.
