Kathy Brito

Kathy Nadine Brito, age 59, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. Kathy was born February 1st, 1962 in Indiana to the late Melvin Levester Shockley and Mary Louise Cardwell. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Keshia Lavett Taylor (Cole) of Bowling Green, KY; son, Lorenzo Kyler Brito of Bowling Green, KY; Kyler’s father, Lorenzo Brito of Bowling Green, KY; niece/sister, Jennifer Lee Shockley (Jess and son, Sean) of Bowling Green, KY; sister Barbara Coleman of Bowling Green, KY; nieces, Betsy and Missy Coleman of Indiana, and Alexis Shockley of Bowling Green, KY; and nephew, Matthew Shockley of Bowling Green, KY. Kathy will be remembered for her eternal kindheartedness and the unending love and support she always had to give those closest to her. She accomplished many things in her life, from winning the Indiana state billiards championship as a teenager to her tenure as a country music singer to being a successful small business owner, but she always held adamant that her greatest accomplishment was her children… and we could not have asked for a better Mom. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday June 2nd, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with the funeral at 1:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in the Mausoleum.
