Kay Ranae
Welch
May 7, 1956 — Jul 5, 2026
Kathryn "Kay" Ranae Doyle Welch, a woman of quiet strength and gentle passions, passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 70.
Kathryn was a proud high school graduate who went on to dedicate her working life as a dialysis technician, where she cared for others with compassion, patience, and a steady hand. Her work was more than a job; it was a reflection of her giving spirit and her ability to bring comfort during difficult moments.
Outside of her career, Kathryn found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She had a special love for collecting owls, each one a small treasure that reflected her unique personality; wise, observant, and quietly endearing. Whether displayed proudly or tucked into cozy corners, her collection brought her happiness and became a symbol of the warmth she carried within.
Kathryn will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentle presence, and the love she shared with those closest to her. She leaves behind memories that will be cherished deeply by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Paul Welch, her siblings: Nancy, Jerry, Rodney, and Dwayne, her children: Dica Chaplinski, Michele Hawks, and Nicole Welch, her grandchildren: Corey Rabotinsky, Kaylee Hawks, Aiden Hawks, Calie Hawks, Anthony, Baiylee, Brooklyne, Breanna, and Jenna, and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Iva Coppernell and Earl Doyle.
Though she may be gone from this world, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain, always.
Cremation was chosen and there are currently no services scheduled.
