Kevin Eugene Baskette, a dedicated professional and cherished family man, passed away on September 11, 2025, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, at the age of 55. Born on November 18, 1969, in Nashville, Tennessee, Kevin embraced life with an open heart and an infectious spirit, never meeting a stranger along the way.
Kevin had a fulfilling career in the safe tech and locksmithing profession, working at BG Banking and AAA Systems, where he was known for his integrity and commitment to service. His military service in the U.S. Navy from 1990 to 1993 further exemplified his dedication to his country; during his time in the Navy, he served on a mine sweeper and was involved in the decommissioning of two ships, a testament to his steadfast sense of duty.
Beyond his career, Kevin was a great friend, son, brother, father, and the best "pepaw" anyone could hope for. He was particularly proud of his daughters, Chelsey Rakers (Dylan) and Michaela Anderson (Tanner), and found immense joy in the role of a loving grandfather to his sweet beloved granddaughter, Karsyn Rakers. His family meant the world to him, and he often expressed how much he loved and valued them.
Kevin is survived by his father, Thomas Eugene Baskette Jr; his fiancée, Athena Anderson that he loved dearly; his daughters, Chelsey and Michaela; and his brothers Raymond Scott Baskette, Thomas Jefferson Baskette, Michael Anthony Baskette, and Michael Todd Baskette. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Vernonica Baskette.
A visitation to honor Kevin's life will be held on September 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM, all taking place at Cone Funeral Home located at 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY, 42104.
Kevin Baskette will be remembered for his generous spirit and unwavering love for his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
