With heavy hearts and deep respect, we announce the passing of Kirk Alan Gross, who departed this life on August 14, 2026, at The Medical Center. Born on May 11, 1966, Kirk lived his sixty years with quiet dignity, resilience, and a steadfast devotion to those he loved.

A proud graduate of the Arcanum Butler High School class of 1984, Kirk carried with him the values of hard work and dedication from a young age. He went on to serve his country in the Army during Desert Storm, a period of his life that reflected his courage, sense of duty, and commitment to service.

Professionally, Kirk excelled as an assistant manager at Big Lots 3245. His colleagues and those he served remember him for his reliability, kindness, and the genuine care he extended to everyone who crossed his path.

Kirk’s life was also deeply enriched by his many interests. He was an enthusiastic participant in the outdoors, often found hiking, camping, and kayaking. In quieter moments, he cherished the company of a good book and treasured the time spent surrounded by friends and family, weaving lasting memories in both adventure and calm.

Kirk is survived by his dear sisters, Nanette (Tim) Bialek and Robin Roberts, and his brother, Brian(Kelley) Gross. As a brother, he was a source of unwavering support and love. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Gross; his mother, Marquerite Roberts; his grandparents, Mable Gross, Ira Gross, Charles Gruber, and Ruth Will; his brother, Craig Gross (Helga). The memory of Kirk's warmth, courage, and laughter will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
