Larry Day

Larry Wayne Day, 68 of Lewisburg, Ky died January 16, 2020 at his home. The Jenkins, Ky native was the son of the late Robert Belton Day and Una Zell Pack Day. Mr. Day was a graduate of James A. Cawood High School. He had a BA in Pastoral Ministry from Clear Creek Bible College. Mr. Day was a veteran of the United States Army, Kentucky National Guard and the Tennessee State Guard. He had a long career of public service having been a minister, coal miner, Director of Houston Co. School Transportation as well as an engineer/mechanic for CSX in Nashville, Tn. Mr. Day was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Gentry Day; a daughter, Lisa Gunn and two sisters, Darlene Middleton and Linda Moore. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Day; his daughters: Belinda Gunn and Tonya Anderson (Marshall); his sons: Robert Day (Amanda), Anthony Gunn, Chris Gunn (Maryann) and Robert Gunn (Angelina). several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two brothers: Greg Humpert and Ken Humpert also survive. Funeral services for Larry Day will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 1 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane). Burial with military honors will be held at Arnold Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ky. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 3 pm - 6 pm and again on Monday from 10 am until time of the funeral.
