Laura Jane Johnson, passed away on February 2, 2026, in Murfreesboro, TN, leaving a legacy as bright as her sparkling personality. Born on September 3, 1946, in Bowling Green, KY, Jane was a beacon of love and laughter to all who knew her.

For many years, she ran her own cleaning company. Beyond work, her heart belonged to family, and she particularly adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relishing every moment spent with them.

Her loving spirit is survived by her three wonderful children—Sherry Edmunds (Gwynne), Lorie Fisher, and Bonnie Monroe (Mike)and her ever-growing brood of grandchildren: Megan McDavitt (Scott), Jaron Kinser, Shane Bailey (Kelsey), Bridget Robbins (Nowell), Chelsie Fisher (Cortney), Shanna Fisher, Nolan Monroe (Anna) and Seth Fisher. With ten great-grandchildren adding to the joyful chaos, it’s safe to say her family functioned like a well-oiled machine powered by her love. Her loving sister, Bonita Creek. Her best friend, Sylvia Harris, was a co-conspirator in many adventures, making fabulous mischief and treasuring countless moments side by side.

Sadly, she reunites with her beloved husband Craig Johnson, whom she shared over 40 years with, and her cherished parents Roy & Deloris Lightfoot, along with her dear friend Rhonda Scott, in a realm where laughter never ends, forever celebrating life in their own way.

Laura Jane Johnson’s spirit will live on, and her legacy of love, laughter, and family will resonate for generations to come—so let’s take a page from her book and remember to embrace the fun, share some laughs.

A Celebration of Life will be held soon for family and friends to share love and memories.
