Maggie Warden

Ms. Maggie D. Warden, age 92, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 12:00 Noon with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY. Visitation with the family will begin Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Saturday at 10:00 AM until time of service at noon at Cone Funeral Home. Maggie was born December 27, 1930, in Todd Co. , KY to the late Garfield Haley and the late Roberta Siea Haley. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jane Cowles, and the father of her children, Bethel Warden, a grandchild, Heather Warden, great-grandchild Kelsey Washington and all twelve of her siblings. She is survived by her children, Ricky Warden (Janice) of Lewisburg, KY, Michael Warden of Bowling Green, KY, Randy Warden (Kathy) of Bowling Green, KY, Sandy Warden of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Stacy Walker (Marsha) of Glasgow, KY, Kenneth Walker of Lewisburg, KY, Keith Johnson of Nashville, TN, David Lowery of Tallahassee, FL, Gail Hargett of Cedar Hill, TN, Darla Jackson of Cedar Hill, TN; great-grandchildren, Josh Walker, Matthew Walker, Daniel Walker, Cassady Lorenzo, Trevor Walker, Justice Warden, and three great-great-grandchildren. Maggie worked in the fields as a child and got married at the young age of fifteen. She became a homemaker and raised her five children. In her younger years she enjoyed square dancing and cooking for others. She loved to feed people and wouldn’t let anyone starve if they came to her house. Maggie worked in a factory as a Router Operator for several years and she made sure to cast her vote on election day. She loved and cared for her family more than anything.
