Marie Craighead

Marie Ann Craighead, age 74, of Bowling Green, KY, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 7, 2021, after a brief illness. She was the youngest of three born to Lucille and Robert Downey who precede her in death. Marie was also preceded in death by brother, Ray Downey. Marie was a 1967 graduate of Bowling Green High School and a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of Faith United Methodist church. Marie loved to send greeting cards for her church and made silk flower arrangements for families to put on their loved one’s graves. Marie was an outgoing person with a huge heart. She’s gone home and her little companion, “LB” has greeted her with little tail wags. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Darrell, and one son, Allen Craighead, of Bowling Green, KY, sister Betty Gase (Charles) of Red Boiling Springs, TN, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements. The family will receive visitors and friends on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Plano Baptist Church Cemetery located at 600 Plano Richpond Road, Bowling Green, KY 42104.
