Marie Taylor

Marie Taylor (Keown), beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, January 4th, 2023, at Magnolia Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was 78 years old. A Bowling Green native, Marie was born Madaline Marie Keown on December 8th, 1944, though many of her family simply called her Aunt Tee. She worked for Rosewood Manor for many years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Gertrude Stamps Keown and Fred Keown, Sr. ; her husband, Gene Taylor; and numerous siblings. She is survived by her sister, Carole Brothers; her daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Jerry Gifford; her grandchidren, Daniel, David, and Bailey Gifford; and great-granddaughter, Emery Gifford. A graveside service for Marie will be held at Fairview Cemetery at 3 PM on Friday, January 6th. Arrangements for the service are being made by Cone Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any gifts be given to Love Big, Inc. to help support the Haitian school children that Marie so deeply cared about.
