Mary Owens

Mrs. Mary Jo Owens, age 75, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Mary Jo was born in Bowling Green, KY, to her late parents, Wilbur Miller and Josephine Harlan Miller. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, J. W. Owens. Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Bryan Owens, a brother, Robert Miller, 4 sisters, Beverly Dye, Eva Fish, Shirley Crouch, Barbara Ann Miller, and a great-grandchild, Julian Basurto Ramsey. Mary leaves behind 3 daughters, Sherry Ramsey, Amy Lovos (Rudy), and Jessica Miller; 2 sons, Larry Miller (Samantha) and Owen (Breana) Miller, all of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Lillian Basurto (Diego), Abbigale Lovos, Alex Lovos, Boo Lovos, Ava Lovos, Addison Lovos, Kayleigh Miller Braxton Miller, Steve Malone, Jocelyn Tooley, and Zaccheus Alexander; great-grandchildren, Ryder Ramsey, Maddox Ramsey, Jaxon Ramsey, Emilia Ramsey; 4 sisters, Doris Mosley (Wayne), Virginia Boyd, Rita Hurt, and Sara Miller; 3 brothers, Larry Miller, Jimmy Miller, and Ricky Miller, all of Bowling Green, KY, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Mary was the eldest of 13 children. She not only grew up with her siblings but helped raise them as well. She also helped raise four generations of children. Mary was a dietician and retired from Greenview Hospital after 18 years. Mary had a giving heart, and her passion in life was to give and do for others. She loved to cook, especially for her family. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jo Owens will be Friday, November 19, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends and visitors at Cone Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, and on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 9:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
