Michael Signs

December 17, 1965 — December 3, 2022

Michael Lee Signs, age 56, went home to his heavenly Father after passing away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Signs, and his brother, Thomas Signs. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Matson, mother, Shirley Signs, and by his brothers Richard (Dianne) Signs, David (Beth Travers) Signs, Darren (Rhonda) Signs, his sister, Terry (Pete) Depka, his sister-in-law Lorraine Dodge- Signs and their respective families. Mike was born and raised in Michigan, living in Edmore and Six Lakes in his early years. Mike had lived most of his later years in Tennessee and Kentucky and he loved riding the backroads just to “see the sights” in those states. He enjoyed meeting new people and visiting places he had never been. Mike was a man who loved his family, and he always said his mother was his biggest supporter and confidante. He thought his nieces and nephews were especially fun to be around and he appreciated that his siblings loved and supported him throughout his life adventures. Michael was employed over the years as a semi-truck driver, a construction worker, a marina maintenance man and in the plant/flower wholesale business. He loved to work outdoors and especially loved groundskeeping and landscaping. He was a man who loved to work with his hands and had a knack for fixing or building things, just like his father. Mike had a unique sense of humor and he loved silly jokes and pranks. Michael had a good singing voice and he loved singing and listening to gospel music. A man of many contrasts, Mike will be remembered by his family and friends as a man who was a diligent worker and one who was always willing to give a helping hand or every last penny in his pocket to anyone in need. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be scheduled at Lakeview Free Methodist Church, Lakeview Michigan, in January 2023. Please note the memorial tree links do not connect to a local arborist in Bowling Green, KY.
