Michael Sorrell

Michael James Sorrell, 50, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at his residence surrounded by family. The Chicago, IL native was born on May 22, 1970 to the late Kathleen Ledcke Sorrell. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, and one brother, Danny Twiggs. Michael is survived by two brothers and two sisters: Anthony Sorrell of Murfreesboro, TN, Michelle (Michael) McClain of Louisville, KY, Jennifer (Greg) Frey of Bowling Green, KY, and Jeffrey (Melissa) Sorrell of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews: Kathleen, Sydney, Brooklyn, Alexander, Ava, Anthony, and Atlee; one great niece: Sofie Hall; along with his aunt, Betsy (Tony) Vanaria, and uncles, Jim Ledcke and Tom Ledcke. Michael grew up in Bowling Green and was a long-time member of the Greenwood Park Church of Christ. He studied at Lipscomb University and Western Kentucky University. Michael worked in the hospitality industry as a hotel manager in Bowling Green. Michael loved everybody, but he especially loved and was loved by his family and friends. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements. A public visitation will be held Friday, March 5, 2021, from 4 p. m. to 8 p. m. , and Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. at the Greenwood Park Church of Christ, 1818 Campbell Ln. , Bowling Green, KY.
