With profound respect and deep admiration, we salute the life of Myron “Bo” Bohannon, a cherished husband, devoted father, loving grandfather, and steadfast patriot. Born on October 3, 1949, in Bowling Green, KY, Bo’s journey came to a peaceful close on May 12, 2026, in his beloved hometown.
Bo’s life was a testament to dedication and service. After graduating from Alvaton High School, he answered the call of duty, proudly serving active duty in the United States Army for 20 years until his retirement. Among his many accomplishments, he was honored to represent the Army as a fast pitcher in the international Fast Pitch Tournament, distinguishing himself with skill and sportsmanship.
On February 2, 1970, in Hartsville, TN, Bo married Brenda Carolyn Bohannon. Their union spanned 56 wonderful years, a partnership marked by unwavering love and shared memories—truly the best years he could have asked for. Brenda stood by his side as his beloved wife and lifelong companion.
Bo’s heart extended beyond family and military service into his community and passions. He held a special place in his heart for the Gideon’s, the American Legion, the BGWC Humane Society, and FCA Christian School—organizations that reflected his values and generosity.
Family was the cornerstone of Bo’s life. He is survived by his wife Brenda; daughters Tracy Bohannon Moser (Todd) and Amy Bohannon Milam (Derek); grandchildren Leslie Reed, Katie Cortner, TJ Moser, Carrington Milam, and Landon Milam; and siblings Wanda Kirby Bohannon, Elvira Bohannon, and Thomas Bohannon (Linda). Together, they carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and community.
He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Hughes Bohannon, father Charles Bryant Bohannon, sister Marsha Ford Bohannon, grandparents Henry and Clara Hughes, and grandchildren Thomas and Emma Bohannon. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on May 15, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and May 16, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Cone Funeral Home, located at 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42104, with a service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Family, friends, and all who were touched by Bo’s spirit are invited to honor his memory and celebrate a life well-lived. There will be a burial at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Today, we salute Myron “Bo” Bohannon—not only for his service and his accomplishments but for the profound kindness, humility, and dedication he demonstrated every day. His legacy endures in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the community he served with honor. Rest well, Bo; you will forever be remembered and deeply missed.
