Nellie Jones

Nellie Mae Chaffin Jones, 86 of Bowling Green, Ky went to be with the Lord February 15, 2020 at the Medical Center. The Woodburn, Ky native was born on May 24th, 1933 to the late Frank and Alice Chaffin. She was a seamstress for Jim & Gills Men's Shop. Mrs. Jones was also a nurse for 9 years at Hopkins Nursing Home. Nellie loved working with children. Ms. Nellie taught Sunday School for 34 years. Everyone she came into contact with she told about Jesus. Her main passion was the Lord. She was a faithful member of the Old Zions Heritage Way Baptist Church in Woodburn, Ky. Mrs. Nellie Jones is survived by her children: Mary Jones Pippin and Ann (Randy) Carson; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Henry Clay Jones; one son, Jason Edward Jones; six brothers; 1 sister and one great grandchild, Arianna Whitaker. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18th in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane), Bowling Green from 4 pm - 8 pm. Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Jones will be held Wednesday, February 19th at 12 noon at Old Zion's Heritage Way Baptist Church in Woodburn, Ky with burial in the church cemetery.
