Norman Johnson Sr

Norman “Big Norm” Dean Johnson, Sr. , 60, of Bowling Green, KY, was born on June 6, 1961, in Xenia, OH, to the late Johnnie and Helen Poole Johnson. He departed this life on Sunday, February 6, 2022, in Bowling Green. Besides his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Johnson; sisters, Cleopatra Davenport and Bella Jean Taylor; and two brothers in law, Donald Dillingham, and Carrollton Nooks, Jr. “Big Norm” is survived by his sons, Norman Johnson, Jr. (Aaliyah Anthony), and Robert Edwards; one grandson, Norman “Dean” Johnson, III; one brother, John Johnson (Kathy) and two sisters, Johnie Mae Dillingham, and Dawn Nooks; two brothers in law, James Taylor, and Frank Davenport, along with a number of close friends, Mark Haynie, Bobby Smith, Vincent Burgess, Kimberly Potter, John Hill, III, Walter Bibb, and Johnny Ford. Norman served in the United States Army for fourteen years, and then worked for Country Oven Bakery before retiring after twenty-two years. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Ln) with arrangements. A public visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 11:30 a. m. to 1 p. m. with the funeral service to follow at 1 p. m. A short interment service and burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery after the funeral service.
