Opal Marie Harrison

Opal Marie Harrison, born on September 27, 1945, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love. Over her 20-year career as a caretaker, she was dedicated to helping others, displaying an innate ability to connect with those around her with warmth and compassion. Opal's caring nature was evident in everything she did, as she genuinely loved to help people wherever and whenever she could.

A simple lady at heart, Opal found joy in the little things in life. She had a special place in her heart for her beloved “Timmy,” who was a constant companion and source of happiness. Together with Timmy, she cherished the companionship of her rescue dog, Krissy, and the protective presence of Max, Timmy's dog.

Opal's interests were as colorful as the treasures she sought out with her best friend, Sharon French. Together, they delighted in exploring thrift stores and yard sales, where they would hunt for small treasures, each find a small testament to their shared passion for life's delightful surprises.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Harrison; her grandchild, Austin Daniel Robison; her siblings, Sonny Hardin, Betty, and Geneva Smith; as well as her close friend, Sharon French. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, Lee W. Hardin and Julia A. Hardin.

Her memory will remain alive in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
